IMA Klerksdorp Regional Branch had a wellness campaign in town (Dr. Desai Surgery) as well as with their gazebo close to the taxi rank where they conducted free glucose testing, free BP monitoring, medical male circumcision referral, health promotion to the general public as well as HIV testing.
24 People were tested for HIV where 3 were tested positive. This wellness health promotion campaigns has a very positive impact on the public and at times the people are standing queue for these services.
The HIV testing are done in the private counselling rooms of IMA and the other health promotion services from the gazebo outreach table.
