Since 2011, TIBA Centre for the Blind partnered with IMASA Jhb Branch & Muslim Aids Programme has been hosting an annual “Free Medical Screening Programme” to the community of Lenasia.
For the past 2 years Lenmed Clinic has joined us in this project and we can proudly say that it has been a very successful event and well received by the community.
Our most recent annual screening took place on Sunday – 13th September 2015 with a total of 467 people screened from 09h00 – 14h30
The screening offered:
Weight, Height & BMI
Blood Pressure Testing
Glucose Testing
Cholesterol Testing
Eye screening was offered to everyone with a number of Optometrists and Opthalmologists in attendance.
In addition to this, various specialists offered their expertise by consulting with patients who made appointments during their times of availability.

MAP conducted HIV / AIDS Testing / Counselling & TB Screening to X81 people.
The IMA CPR Team facilitated the “Hands Only” CPR training sessions to +- 80 people. Thank you to all the generous donors who fed and contributed bread and washing powder samples to those who had completed the screening and the sponsors who consistently supports us every year.
