Support Group at the Renal Dialysis Unit/Dialysis at Klerksdorp Hospital
IMASA Klerksdorp Branch has initiated a support group with the Renal Dialysis patients at Klerksdorp Hospital. Our first session started on the 4th of February 2013. There are about 15-60 patients that come once a month for their Renal Dialysis. We as IMASA Klerksdorp have thought it well; that these patients undergo a lot of challenges in receiving this treatment, and their psychological needs, need to be met too.
Some of these patients are already waiting for a donor for 8 years. The many years of Dialysis has weakened their resolve and leave them with negativity and in a depressing state. Inculcating some dawah to uplift their spiritual needs may work tremendously with them within. Been tried today and it seems as if their spiritual needs strongly needs the hand of The Almighty.
