Ramadhaan 2014 Outreach Programmes

An important matter for Muslims to realize is that Da’wah is an obligation upon them. Allah (SWT) says in the holy Quran:

“Invite to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom and fair preaching and argue with them in a way that is better.” (Quran, An-Nahl:125)

Imasa [Durban branch]/ Baytul Nur partnered with IPCI and other generous donors of the community once again gave Da’wah and provided some basic health education to the underprivileged community of Welbedacht in Chatsworth. The event took place on Sunday 13th July 2014. More than 500 residents of Welbedacht were given a meal (chicken akhni) a variety of fruit, naan and other goodies that included biscuits, chips and sweets for the children. Blankets, beanies, socks and grocery hampers were also distributed.

Welbedacht has become a major area of concern and the need for dawah, social relief and development, education on health and social issues are critical. Poverty, HIV and AIDS , substance abuse and conversion from Islam to other religions are on the increase in this community.
