Medi Clinic Appeal

Appeal has been made to Medi Clinic requesting a prayer room. They were informed that management will look into it though space is an issue. Polokwane Branch is driving this initiative.

CPD Programme

CPD Programme was held on the 25th November 2012 with excellent speakers, including: Prof Asghar Ali Kalla, Dr Rafiq Khan, Dr Kulsum Jhetam and Dr Talib O Abdool Carrim.

Exclusive Ladies Health Talk

Exclusive Talk on Health for ladies only was held on the 5th October 2013. With the aid of the bariq Al Amal in Limpopo, IMASA Polokwane Branch held this unique program, attended exclusively by ladies.

Speakers included: Dr Zeelha Abdool (Gynaecologist), Dr Kulsum Jhetam (Radiologist) and Dr Laeeka Moosa Kalla (Dermatologist). The topics discussed were antenatal care, abnormal bleeding, urinary incontinence and prolapse of the uterus, breast awareness / mammograms / sonar and common sermatological conditions in ladies.

Annual CME Meeting

6th October 2013 – Annual CME Meeting for the health professionals held at the Polokwane Royal Hotel. This was also a resounding success Alhumdulillah. Excellent speakers including: Dr Gulzar malik Ahmed (A reaslistic approach to the treatment of Prostate Cancer), Professor Shiraz Ellemdin (Basic Refresher Course in ECG), Dr Ismail S. Kalla (A Physician working in ICU – common medical emergencies), Professor Anwar Hoosen (Ethical considerations in Vaccine Clinical Trials), Dr Zeelha Abdool (Abnormal Uterine Prolapse) and Dr Mohammed Ameen Moosa (Common Dermatological Emergencies). Note: All programmes are CPD accredited by SAMA.
