- On 15/09/2019 an Outreach Programme was conducted at Emoyena in Loskop (70km from Ladysmith) which was extremely well received by a community in much need.
2. On Sunday, 20th October 2019, in sweltering weather conditions of 35 degrees the team of IMASA Ladysmith Branch made their way to the Driefontein Thusong Service Centre and conducted an outreach programme.
The team managed to screen 439 patients in total, which included many people in their 80s, a couple in their 90s and a lady who is 103 and still going strong! In addition to this HIV Counselling was also offered.
We would like to thank all the medical & student volunteers who participated and made the event a phenomenal success.

3. On 01/12/2019 we had a screening programme for our local Imams, Muezzins, Apa’s and their respective families at the local Islamic School. A CPR demonstration was also conducted with the assistance of the local Ambulance Service. Four children requiring surgery, in terms of circumcisions and inguinal herniotomies, were then operated on at the local Private Hospital during the school holidays.
