The Ladysmith Branch of the IMA, in keeping with the NEC theme of service to the elderly, visited bedridden patients who had no access to medical services. The team, under the leadership of Dr M. Bayat and Dr M.D. Vawda, visited the patients and offered medical help on the day. The response from the families of the patients was overwhelming. In addition to their medical needs, the social needs were made note of and handled with the relevant social authorities in Ladysmith.
