IMASA LADYSMITH BRANCH HEALTH SCREENING PROGRAMME 18 APRIL 2021

“Do good deeds whether others notice or not. It is the deeds that matter not the size of the audience.”

With the Grace of Allah SWT, in this auspicious month of Ramadan, the IMASA Ladysmith Branch conducted a health screening programme at the “Morester Children’s Home” in Ladysmith where 150 children ranging from the ages of 6 months to 18 years were assessed by a multidisciplinary team.

Operation Sukhuma Sakhe, Al Imdaad Foundation and Islamic Educational Centre [IEC] partnered in a programme which brought much joy to the children.

Learners from IEC distributed a chicken food pack, whilst Al Imdaad provided beanies and sweet hampers were sponsored by TFS, the Wholesalers and gloves were sponsored by Feroz Moosa of Willowton. In addition clothes collected by the IEC learners were handed over to the school.

The value of the a programme of this nature is shown by the fact that the ENT/Audiology team removed a piece of sponge from the nostril of a child and the nib of a pen from the ear of another unsuspecting child.

A sincere thanks to the Morester Home; Director Lizette Van Niekerk and her staff for facilitating the programme, to all our partners and IMASA members for sacrificing their time in providing health, smiles and happiness to those who really need it.

May you all be richly blessed AAMEEN
