The World Memon Organization [Africa Chapter] Ladies Wing and Youth Wing hosted a Ladies Only Event on Sunday the 17th July 2016 at the Memon Foundation Centre in Laudium. A number of women from various Ladies Forums, Charitable Organizations and the public was drawn towards the cause of this project, which is solely to empower the women in the community. WMO invited young girls from the Muslim Aids Programme Orphanage, Itireleng and Madressah Ihya Uloom Ud Deen ranging from the ages of 12yrs to 25 yrs, who were given an opportunity to interact with these successful business women as well as seek advice as to how they too can acquire the necessary skills to pursue similar opportunities in the future.
IMASA Johannesburg Branch used this opportunity to offer free medical screening to the women who attended as well as offer career advice to the younger girls who were interested in a career as a Health Professional.
