Alhamdulillah, IMASA Jhb, in partnership with Jamiatul UIama SA (Siddiqui Trust), has opened a primary health-care clinic to cater for the people of Orlando East (Soweto) and surrounding areas. The Day Clinic will operate from Masjid-ul-Ansaar, and is run by a primary health care nurse from 9am-3pm (with the opportunity to consult a doctor on a referral and appointment basis. Alhamdulillah, all equipment, furniture and drugs were sponsored by members of IMASA & Jamiat. Patient numbers have been steadily increasing since inception. An official launch with the Jamiat SA took place on the 13th April 2014.
Talks by Ml Ebrahim Bham & the IMASA together with members of the community were followed by a small tour and refreshments. A concerted effort to get sponsorship from businesses and other organizations is the next step in to order to make the clinic self-sufficient.
