Iftaar Dinner with Baria Alamuddin at IMASA Durban Baytul Nur
An Iftaar dinner was held in partnership with IMASA Durban Baytul Nur, Minara Chamber of Commerce and Xanopia Women Business Forum on the 23rd of June 2016 at IMASA Durban Baytul Nur Conference Room. The topic was ‘Conversation on Women and Islam”. Ms Baria Alamuddin was the guest speaker. She is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster in the Middle East and the United Kingdom. She is currently the Editor of Media Services Syndicate, Foreign Editor of Al Hayat. She expressed the importance of supporting each other especially in projects that address the needs of women and women empowerment. More than 60 ladies attended and dinner was enjoyed by all.
Ramadhaan Weekend Outreach Programme
IMASA Durban Baytul Nur coordinated successful outreach programmes in the Chatsworth and Welbedacht areas every Sunday during Ramadhaan. Grocery hampers, hot meals, fruit, treats, toiletry packs and clothing were distributed to many families each week. Many thanks to the volunteers and sponsors who made this possible.
