IMASA Durban Branch celebrates Women’s Month

The IMASA Durban Branch celebrated Women’s month at an indigent school in Unit 2 for senior female citizens. Many caring sisters provided blankets, shawls, lotions and a delicious sponsored meal to the 36 special guests who attended. In addition to this, a motivational talk was given and the IMASA mobile team provided PHC for 33 people Alhumdulillah.

IMASA Durban Branch also hosted a Women’s Day Programme on the 11th August 2016. The programme included an address by our Key Note Speaker; Sr Reyhana Seedat [Psychotherapist & EMDR Therapist], fun time with Munira Gangat from “Olive Kissed”, make up demos by Juweiriyah Naroth and a scarf styling demo session by Salma Kazi. An event enjoyed and appreciated by all the females in attendance.

On the 12th August 2016, IMASA Durban Branch spent the morning with Municipality workers in celebration of Women’s Month. Shaida Jazbhai and her hospital team sponsored each of these women a health & hygiene pack and another sponsor generously donated meals for all these deserving women.

IMASA Durban Branch hosted a Women’s Month Seminar on the 23rd August 2016 with and attendance of 73 ladies in total. Our dynamic speakers included Mrs Zulekha Mkhize who spoke about her very emotional yet life changing journey towards Islam and Sr Suraiya Nawab [CEO of the Muslim Aids Programme] who gave us some insight on her latest book describing her experiences during her battle with cancer. We would like to thank them and all our guests who honoured us with their presence and we look forward to the next empowering Women’s Programme Inshaa Allah.
