The Islamic Medical Association of South Africa – Durban Branch held their Annual Graduates Dinner on Friday, 28 November 2014 at NMJ Islamic Centre. The evening commenced with the Qiraat recital and the MC, Mr Solly Suleman welcomed all and highlighted the activities of the IMA together with video clips relaying the projects.
Our Guest Speaker was Professor Ahmed Bawa – Vice Chancellor of Durban University of Technology. His advice to the graduates regarding their career was well received. Our founder member, Dr GM Hoosen imparted words of wisdom and motivation to the graduates to stay focused and always remember their Islamic identity and values.
IMA Bags including a number of gifts were given by generous donors together with a copy of the Oath of the Muslim Health Professional handed to the graduates by Dr GM Hoosen & Mrs Fatima Hoosen.
The Graduates expressed their appreciation to the IMA for the kind invitation. The evening was enjoyed by all attending with a scrumpious dinner. The IMASA Durban Branch thanked all involved in making this a successful function and wished the 2014 Graduates success in their career, In Shaa Allaah.
