When the appeal was made from IMASA to donate generously in money and kind and seamstresses to offer their sewing skills and services we were OVERWHELMED with the response from our community members. In the Gauteng region alone, we have 200+ seamstresses participating in this project ALHUMDULILLAH
IMASA Branches in Johannesburg, West Rand, East Rand, Tshwane, Durban, Ladysmith, Port Shepstone, Carolina, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth all took on the challenge to coordinate within their regions, putting shoulders to the wheel to ensure that this much needed project takes flight.
We would like to thank all our donors who have donated generously, our volunteers working day and night, colleagues, friends and family members who are assisting everyday in the mass production. It is truly inspiring to see young and old participating and doing their bit towards fighting COVID-19. (Featuring a very excited and beloved elder, Mr Moosa from Johannesburg packing the facemasks)
