IMASA Convention 2019 Feedback 6

Sunday morning got off to an energetic start when some of the Delegates took to the beach for the Annual after Fajr Beach Walk. Who says it was cold… Some of the ladies got their feet wet and our avid runners put their takkies to the test.

Sunday Braai evening was a resounding success with a brilliant talk delivered by Dr Anwar Nagia on the rich heritage of Cape Town, followed by the Awesome “Funny Awards” Ceremony. The MC, Riaz Ismail enjoying every moment of keeping the crowd in suspense awarding well-deserved nominees such as; Dr Nashphatuddin Khan who was awarded an exceptional award for “Best Swimmer”. Needless to say that he telephonically confessed to Tougheeda that he was the delegate that had taken a dip in the pool (unintentionally…still holding a piece of chicken in his hand) at the last Cape Convention! A few other memoirs were shared on deriving at the Awards from “Forrest Gump” to “Fifty Shades” and “Ice Princess”. We thank all the Delegates for being such brilliant sports!!

The Aswaatul Madinah Group ended off the evening with beautiful melodius nasheeds, Alhamdulillah.

All in all, the 2019 conference was a resounding success and the Western Cape Committee would like to extend firstly its sincere thanks to The Almighty Allah SWT for granting us the ability to do what was necessary to ensure a successful conference, Alhamdulillah.

Over the years, professional relationships with various donors, service providers and organizations and individuals has grown steadily, Alhamdulillah, we hope to continue expanding our scope in order to continue the work that we are involved with, solely for the Pleasure of Allah SWT.

And finally, we wish to thank our Convention Committee, Convenors  & Staff Members who are the driving force behind everything. The late nights, endless meetings and hard work all paid off!!!!!

We look forward to meeting you all in Durban next year, promising to be a very exciting and memorable event. Inshaa Allah— JAZAAKALLAH!
