The Al Ansaar Cancer Support Group held its 7th Annual Chai Day and a Cancer Health Expo on the 29th October 2016 at the Al Ansaar Hall in Durban. This hugely successful initiative creates awareness around cancer and its related issues.
For the 7th consecutive year, IMASA Durban Branch female health professionals assisted with the Breast Examinations which included for the first time Blood Pressure Screening. The medical aspect of this event was co-ordinated by Dr Shakira Cassim.

About 60 people were screened and about 6 – 10 abnormalities were picked up on Breast Examination. About 100 people had their BP checked.
