ANNUAL FREE HEALTH SCREENING PROGRAMME

SCREENED: Total of X650 patients

REGISTRATIONS. WEIGHT, HEIGHT & BMI. BLOOD PRESSURE TESTING. GLUCOSE TESTING & CHOLESTEROL TESTING [Participation of Medical Students & Lenmed Volunteers]. FINAL CONSULTATION [Participation of Qualified Medical Volunteers]. EYE-SCREENING [Excellent attendance from Optometry Students at UJ]. CONSULTATION WITH OPHTHALMOLOGISTS (Orphans & the Elderly benefitted a lot from this screening). DENTAL SCREENING [Participation of Dental Students & Qualified Dentists] ( Orphans benefitted a lot from this screening). Consultation with Physiotherapists, Podiatrists & Occupational Therapists. HIV/AIDS Testing by Muslim Aids Programme. CPR Demos by the IMASA CPR – BLS Instructors [Overseen By Shokat Ali Khan] – very well received by the community. Presence of Sister Organizations such as; BLOCK WATCH, GIFT OF THE GIVERS, FOUNTAIN OF INSPIRATION & LENASIA CANCER SOCIETY educated and informed the community about their services. ADDITIONAL: Consultation with an Orthopaedic Surgeon – Dr Ziyaad Mayet, Consultation with Dermatologists – Dr Yunoos Omar & Dr Anwer Madhi, Consultation with Cardiologists – Dr Ahmed Vachiat & Dr Farouk Mamdoo, Consultation & Testing facilitated by Speech & Hearing Therapists – Shabiera Allie, Raeesa Kajee & Team, NOTE: THE ABOVE SECREENINGS WERE CONDUCTED PRIVATELY IN ROOMS, IMASA Mobile Clinic was on standby for any private consultations and emergencies.

In addition to this each person left with a warm meal of delicious biryani and cooldrink sponsored by Helping Hands to the Public & TIBA feeding all the volunteers throughout the day.

We would like to thank all our MEDICAL & GENERAL VOLUNTEERS [incl; High school students & members of the community] who came out and assisted us with making the event a success. With close to X60 Medical & X40 General volunteers, the activities ran smoothly and recipients left with a smile on their face, well educated about the services we offer and appreciative of our efforts.
