IMASA Jhb Branch Annual Graduation 2017

The Annual IMASA Jhb Branch Graduation 2017 took place on the 08th December 2017 at the beautiful venue: Image Lifestyle in Mint Rd Forsdburg Gauteng. +-60 excited graduates and proud family members and friends celebrating their achievements were invited to a dinner offering stunning decor and a delicious 3 course meal.

The programme MC by Dr Ahmed Vachiat, commenced with the beautiful recitation of the Holy Quraan by Qari Hussein Kazi, followed with our Guest Speaker; Khadija Patel [Editor of Mail & Guardian] who shared invaluable advice specifically directed to the new Health Professionals.

Well deserved certificates of appreciation were presented to Mr Moosa Ebrahim who has consistently sponsored beneficial Islamic Literature for many years and to Sultan Bahu, accepted by Mr Ahmed Akoob for the sterling services offered to the community and the wonderful partnership maintained over the years with IMASA.

Student awards were presented to Medical Students; Naeem Shaik & Ayesha Moola. A proud moment for their parents as well as the IMASA committee who felt they had to be acknowledged for their active participation & dedication within the organization. Their experiences shared and the words of appreciation was definitely an incentive for other students to see IMASA as a platform to gain practical experience, grow and develop as future Health Professionals and to give back to the community In Sha Allah. We make dua that Allah keep these students active members of the organization and proud flagbearers & members in the future AAMEEN. A humbling moment for IMASA when we were presented with a certificate of appreciation by Executive representatives of TIBA – Centre for the Blind based in Lenasia Gauteng.

Thereafter, each Graduate was called to the stage from their respective faculty, recognition was given to their achievements and each of them were gifted with a goodie bag and the Oath of the Muslim Health Professional. A touching moment when all the graduates stood up from their seats and read the oath aloud lead by Dr Shoyab Wadee, taking in each word and embracing their responsibility as a Muslim Health Professional, serving Allah by serving his creation Alhumdulillah.

The programme ended with an informative presentation by Huzaifah Khan [Chairman of Jhb Branch] introducing and elaborating on the work facilitated by IMASA and Dr Shoyab Wadee [Vice Chair of Jhb Branch] doing the Vote oif Thanks. May Allah grant all the Graduates success in their future endeavours and may they all see the benefits of what IMASA has to offer, academically & spiritually AAMEEN.
